This lofty tour of Western Canada leads you to see the inspirational sights of British Columbia and Alberta – and from a variety of vantage points. Enjoy a two-day scenic rail journey from bustling Vancouver to the still beauty of Banff National Park; cross the 750-foot-thick Columbia Icefield aboard an exciting Ice Explorer; then get ready to melt as you ferry to the “garden city” of Victoria to tiptoe through the tulips. You’ll also relish the timeless scenery of Jasper National Park and the newer resorts of Sun Peaks and Whistler. These dream sights are complemented by the dreamiest of hotels as you rest your wonder-filled head at the best of the Fairmont Collection, including the Fairmont Hotel Vancouver, Banff Springs Hotel, Chateau Lake Louise, Jasper Park Lodge, and the Chateau Whistler Resort.

Daily Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrive in Vancouver, British Columbia:
Welcome to Vancouver! Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your Vancouver hotel. At 6 pm, meet your Tour Director and traveling companions for a welcome drink.
Day 2 - Vancouver (B, D):
Guided tour includes the waterfront, Chinatown, and Stanley Park. Free time this afternoon before dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 3 - Vancouver - Rocky Mountaineer - Kamloops (B, L):
Scenic train ride along Fraser Canyon and the Thompson River en route to Kamloops. Free time this evening.
Day 4 - Kamloops - Rocky Mountaineer - Banff, Alberta (B, L):
Scenic train ride along Shuswap Lake shoreline, Kicking Horse River, and over the Continental Divide en route to Banff National Park. Free time this evening. Spend two nights at the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel, internationally recognized as the symbol of Canadian hospitality. Opened by Canadian Pacific Railway in 1888, this majestic chateau-style hotel became one of the top three getaways in North America.
Day 5 - Banff (B, D):
Guided tour at Banff National Park includes Bow Falls, Tunnel Mountain, and Surprise Corner. Free time this afternoon and evening.
Day 6 - Banff - Lake Louise (B, D):
Scenic drive past Moraine Lake and the Valley of the Ten Peaks en route to Lake Louise. Guided Heritage Walk at Lake Louise to hear about the area’s first settlers, some unique characters, and the history of this incredible setting. Enjoy an overnight and dinner at the exclusive Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.
Day 7 - Lake Louise - Columbia Icefield - Jasper (B, D):
Scenic drive on Icefields Parkway en route to Columbia Icefield. Scenic Ice Explorer ride with a Glaciologist Guide on Athabasca Glacier. Free time this evening at the luxurious base camp, the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge.
Day 8 - Jasper - Sun Peaks, British Columbia (B):
Scenic drive on Yellowhead Highway along the Fraser and Thompson Rivers en route to Sun Peaks. Free time this evening.
Day 9 - Sun Peaks - Whistler (B):
Scenic drive en route to Whistler. Whistler's pinnacle summer experience includes a ride on the Guinness World Record breaking PEAK 2 PEAK Gondola between Whistler and Blackcomb mountains. Free time this evening at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler.
Day 10 - Whistler - Victoria (B):
Private breakfast at the Squamish Lil’wat Cultural Centre, a First Nation’s museum brings to life the history of Native peoples whose traditions and beautiful culture still resonate today. Scenic BC Ferry crossing through the Gulf Islands to Victoria on Vancouver Island. Guided city sightseeing in Victoria. Free time this evening.
Day 11 - Victoria (B, D):
Free time this morning before an afternoon visit to Butchart Gardens, listed as a National Historic site, this botanical oasis made of millions of flowering beds and over 900 varieties of plants in exquisitely landscaped gardens brings fairytales to life. Enjoy the gardens and a special farewell dinner in the original, now restored, greenhouse.
Day 12 - Victoria – Vancouver Departure (B):
Scenic BC Ferry crossing through the Gulf Islands to Vancouver. Your vacation ends at the Vancouver International Airport. Schedule flights after 2 pm.
