Explore the famous canyons of the American West on a journey featuring three national parks. Start your journey in Phoenix and join your Tour Director, Bluegreen Host and traveling companions for a welcome drink.
Depart Phoenix traveling north through cactus-studded scenery for an orientation tour of Sedona known as, “Arizona’s Scenic Sensation.” Strap yourself in and prepare for a unique encounter with the magnificent red rock canyons surrounding Sedona on an unforgettable 4-wheel Jeep adventure! This afternoon arrive at Grand Canyon National Park, one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, where you won’t want to miss the spectacular sunset.
Enjoy a full day at your leisure to explore everything the canyon has to offer. If you missed the sunset, sunrise is just as impressive! You may want to enjoy optional flightseeing over the Grand Canyon—definitely the thrill of a lifetime or set out to explore the Grand Canyon and learn about its geology and how the canyon was carved. You may wish to join a Ranger talk in the Amphitheater, venture down part of Bright Angel Trail, or visit the geology museum. Today the choice is yours!
This morning travel to Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park, a sacred area where the weathering action of wind and water has carved the famous sandstone spires and towers that rise hundreds of feet above the valley floor. Take an exhilarating 4-wheel-drive backcountry tour with a knowledgeable Navajo guide followed by a traditional Navajo Fry Bread tasting. Arrive at Lake Powell ready to enjoy free time where you can relax or take a stroll along the Wahweap Marina.
Explore Antelope Slot Canyon (approx. ¼ mile hike over dirt path with 4-5 medium flights of metal stairs with handrails) with a local Navajo guide this morning. You will be mesmerized by an amazing fantasy world of stone, created by wind and water. You will learn the history of this amazing canyon and be able to take advantage of incredible photo opportunities. Next hike to Horseshoe Bend Overlook at Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, where you will embark on a 0.75 mile hike (approx. 1.5 mile hike roundtrip) over a hardened path, up a gentle incline. Once you've reached the top, your reward awaits! Take in the beauty and try your luck at getting the quintessential shot of this horseshoe-shaped meander in Glen Canyon that measures 1,000 ft deep. Once you've taken in your last view, head back down the trail to find the motor-coach ready to take you back to your hotel. This evening you will join your fellow owners for a Navajo culturally inspired dinner and an unforgettable show!
Depart from the splendid views of Lake Powell and travel to Utah’s scenic backroads to spectacular Bryce Canyon National Park. You will spend time in the park capturing the magnificent contrasts of bright red, yellow, and pink pillars called “hoodoos.” See how years of erosion have carved colorful sandstone into thousands of spires, arches, and mazes for an unforgettable sight! Tonight, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant.
This morning travel to nearby Zion National Park, a spectacle of massive stone formations whose colors change with the light of the day and season. Enjoy a boxed picnic lunch on the front lawn of Zion Lodge with free time to explore. After lunch, continue your travel to Las Vegas for an orientation tour before a farewell dinner with your Tour Director, Bluegreen Host, and fellow owners.
This morning your vacation comes to an end with breakfast.
