Dive into the rich history and beautiful architecture of Lisbon. Start your day with a tour of the Jerónimos Monastery and cloister, a photo stop at Belém Tower and the Monument to the Discoveries. Then experience natural beauty along the Portuguese Riviera featuring the opulent Cascais, world-famous Guincho Beach, unrivalled panoramic views of Cape Roca, and a visit of the lavish Palace of Queluz. Tonight is an unforgettable evening of classic Fado music and a delectable 3-course dinner with drinks at a local Casa de Fado.
Visit the Sanctuary of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary in Fatima on your way to Porto. Enjoy a panoramic drive to the mouth of the Douro River learning about this beautiful area from a Local Guide. Then see the Church of São Francisco and visit the Arabian Hall in the Stock Exchange. Taste the famous Sandeman’s Port wine in a tasting at Sandeman & Co Port Wine Cellar in Porto.
Start your morning with a scenic drive along the coastline en route to Vigo, Spain. In Vigo take a walking tour of the historic district. Marvel at the Ermita de San Sebastian, an unusual church covered completely with seashells! Continue on to Santiago De Compostela where you will have dinner at a local restaurant.
Explore Santiago de Compostela including the cathedral with the relics of St. James the Apostle, making this area one of the most important Christian pilgrimage sites in Europe after Rome. After a coffee break, head north to La Coruna for a guided tour of this one-time capital of the Kingdom of Galicia.
Take free time in Luarca to browse this charming fishing and pleasure port. Once in Oviedo, guided sightseeing includes a panoramic drive and a walking tour of the Old Town. Oviedo is home to a number of cider houses, serving the traditional drink that is a sign of eating well in this fruitful region. Once the cider is poured, the glass must be emptied in one go to fully appreciate the flavors. So, bottoms up on your visit to a traditional Sidreria for a tasting. Salud!
Travel to Santander today, also known as The Bride of the Sea, for free time for lunch. Head east to Bilbao where a guided visit of the Guggenheim Museum awaits. This museum is hailed as one of the most important buildings of its time because of its spectacular structure of titanium, glass, and limestone. End your stay in the resort town of San Sebastian.
Start your day with a guided walking tour around Parte Viejo Old Quarter in San Sebastian. Travel north into France to explore two dazzling seaside resorts along the Côte Basque: glamorous Biarritz, the "Beach of Kings", and Saint-Jean-de-Luz with its ties to 17th-century pirates!
